Malbec wines are inviting and satisfying, easy to enjoy and to find, especially those ripe, velvety and oaky versions from Argentina. Styles are evolving here as they are in other warm, new world areas, with a growing contingent of producers focusing on single vineyard sites, and winemakers backing off on ripeness and oak to showcase the uniqueness of their soils, climate and exposures, or their terroir. Some of these wines are leaner and earthier, but still plummy and delicious. Organic, vegan and natural wines are in the mix as well.
